They issued a joint statement saying they share a long‑term goal of growing esports through organized international play. The agreement restores the partnership and clears the way for the 2026 tournament to proceed. Under the new arrangement, the Korean organization will again lead the selection process. It will use its domestic experience to pick players fairly and in line with both parties’ rules. Players will represent South Korea as “Team Korea of Esports. ” The renewed collaboration shows that even after a rocky pause, both sides can align their strategies.
