Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) is teaming up with Baker Hughes to boost oil and gas production. The deal focuses on advanced artificial lift systems, which help get more out of existing fields.
The agreement is for several years and includes electrical submersible pumps (ESPs). These pumps are crucial for bringing oil to the surface. Baker Hughes will also provide installation, monitoring, and maintenance services to keep things running smoothly.
To make the pumps even better, they will use FusionPro™ and Leucipa™ technologies. These systems help improve performance and reduce downtime. This means more oil can be produced with less hassle.
This isn't the first time KOC and Baker Hughes have worked together. Earlier this year, they agreed on a deal for advanced wireline and perforation technology. This helps with reservoir evaluation and increases oil recovery.
Baker Hughes has been supporting Kuwait's energy sector for a long time. They have a big workshop in Kuwait for testing and analyzing equipment. Plus, they are setting up a research and development center in Ahmadi Innovation Valley. This will help solve technology challenges and build local expertise.
The goal is to make oil production safer, cleaner, and more efficient. This deal is a big step in that direction.
