SAVTB, USASun Feb 09 2025
When it comes to viewing a rocket launch, SpaceX sure knows how to give the public a show. What can you expect to see when theFalcon 9 rocket takes off on Sunday? Right away, the launch time isn't set in stone. It is planned for 4:03 p. m. , but this depends on the weather. It is not a one-time chance either. You can catch the liftoff anytime till 8:03 p. m. . If things don't happen on Sunday, Monday is the backup day. The launchpad is the key to a successful launch. The Space Launch Complex-4 on the South Base is where all the action will happen.
You might be asking, where is this happening? Well, it is happening in California at Vandenberg Space Force Base. Where will the first stage booster go after it's done its job? After launching 23 more Starlink satellites into orbit, it will come back to Earth and land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship. With the booster landing on the droneship in the Pacific Ocean,It won't be a smooth ride for the folks living in Santa Barbara or Ventura. Weather conditions might cause a sonic boom, so buckle up. So when can you expect to watch satellites zoom off? About an hour after liftoff. Watching the live webcast is easy when you visit the SpaceX. The show starts 5 minutes before liftoff. Keep an eye on the website at spacex. com/launches and be sure to check out X @SpaceX, too. What if you want to sit back, relax and watch the launch in person? The Lompoc Valley is your best bet. Pick a spot at the peak of Harris Grade Road, west end of Lompoc and near the intersection of Moonglow and Stardust roads. Just remember, the timing and weather will affect your abilityto see the launch so be sure to check the forecast. So if you happen to be in California, don't lose out on your chance to watch the beautiful departure of the rocket. It could look like a magnificent sunset. For the best experience you can get, head to various spots around California or even places in other Western states. Make sure to plan ahead so you won't miss it.
