The League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) is getting ready for the 2026 season with a lot of new rules and training. On January 2nd, Riot Games held a big training session at the LCK Arena in LoL Park. This session was for players and coaches to learn about new rules, how to behave professionally, and what is expected of them.
Around 150 players and coaches from 10 teams attended. They spent four hours learning about changes for the 2026 season, new rules, and how to communicate properly during the LCK Cup. They also learned about Riot's global code of conduct and disciplinary policies. This training is important because it helps everyone understand the rules and play fairly.
One big part of the training was about anti-doping. The Korea Anti-Doping Agency taught them about testing procedures and what substances are not allowed. This is especially important because the LCK teams will be competing in the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
The training was divided into different sessions based on experience. New players learned about standard contracts and what to look for before signing. Veteran players had a session on sportsmanship and respect for teammates and opponents.
The LCK is one of the biggest League of Legends esports leagues in the world. It runs from April to September and includes 10 teams. These teams also compete in international events like the Mid-Season Invitational and the World Championship.
This training is part of Riot Games' effort to make sure everyone follows the rules and plays fairly. The LCK will host its 2026 Season Opening Event on January 9th at the LCK Arena in Seoul.
