Learning About Jobs and Town Life at Citadel Mall
Colorado Springs, USAFri Dec 20 2024
Tucked away in the Citadel Mall, there’s an exciting program called Young AmeriTowne that’s been running for a few weeks. Students from Colorado Springs can experience the fascinating world of work and town management in a hands-on way.
Kids from Vanguard School and other local schools have been taking part. They’re not just learning about economics; they’re diving right into it by working at different businesses, applying for jobs, handling money at the bank, and even creating and enforcing laws.
The program doesn’t end there. They also get to vote for officials and trade goods and services, much like in a real town. This isn’t just a visit; it’s an immersive experience that leaves a lasting impression.
Don't miss out! Young AmeriTowne is open at the Citadel Mall until this Friday. So, if there’s something cool happening at your school, let Josh know at School buzz@krdo. com.
