Lenovo’s latest business laptop, the ThinkPad X13 Gen 7, weighs just under a kilogram while packing serious AI and processing power. It’s designed for professionals who need a lightweight yet capable machine. The laptop comes in two versions: one with Intel’s new Core Ultra Series 3 processors (starting at 930g) and another with AMD’s Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series (starting at 953g). Both are built for heavy workloads but remain easy to carry. The Intel model uses the "Panther Lake" chip, a step up from last year’s "Lunar Lake, " while the AMD version features the newer Zen 5 CPU and RDNA 3. 5 graphics. Lenovo claims the AMD setup can handle up to 60 TOPS of AI tasks, though the X13 Gen 7 is limited to 50 TOPS. The goal? Faster local AI processing for things like video calls, noise reduction, and workflow assistance—without relying too much on cloud computing.The 13-inch display is bright and sharp, with a 400-nit rating and 100% sRGB color. Lenovo is also focusing on durability and sustainability. The laptop has replaceable parts like the battery, SSD, and even the bottom cover. It scored a 9/10 on repairability, thanks to easy access inside. The battery uses recycled cobalt, and other components include recycled materials too. That’s a plus for eco-conscious buyers. Pricing starts at $1, 499, with sales expected to begin in May 2026. It’s not cheap, but for professionals who need power in a lightweight package, it might be worth the investment.
