Lenovo has introduced a new Chromebook Plus 14 laptop, packed with advanced AI features. This device is part of Google's Chromebook Plus lineup, which now includes AI-powered tools designed to make tasks easier.
One of the standout features is the ability to search for information directly from your screen. By long-pressing the launcher icon or taking a screenshot, you can search for images or text on your screen. This feature can also import text into Google Workspace apps like spreadsheets or documents. Additionally, complex text can be simplified for better understanding.
The new Chromebook also includes a smart grouping tool that automatically organizes your tabs and documents based on your current tasks. The Gallery app now has built-in image editing capabilities, allowing you to remove backgrounds and create stickers with ease. These AI functions are powered by on-device processing and are exclusive to the Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14.
The Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 is powered by a MediaTek Kompanio Ultra chip, which offers impressive performance with its eight-core Arm-based architecture. It supports Wi-Fi 7 and can connect to up to two external 4K monitors. The laptop features a 14-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and 400 nits of brightness. There are options for a touchscreen version, which starts at $749. Other specifications include up to 256GB of storage, up to 16GB of RAM, a fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5. 4 support, and a four-speaker Dolby Atmos audio setup. The laptop is lightweight, weighing just 2. 58 pounds, and boasts a 60Wh battery for extended use.
