Singer Lizzo, born and raised in Detroit, joined Vice President Kamala Harris for a Saturday rally in her hometown. The event was a response to former President Trump's recent remarks about the city. Trump had compared Detroit to a "developing nation" during a campaign event, suggesting that if Harris became president, the whole country would be in a similar state. Lizzo, proud of her city's resilience and innovations in the auto and music industries, challenged Trump's words. "If Harris wins, the country will be proud and resilient like Detroit, " she said. Harris, sporting a "Detroit vs. Everybody" t-shirt, encouraged voters to cast their ballots before the Nov. 5 deadline. Early voting in Michigan starts on Oct. 26. Despite Trump's slight lead in the state, according to Decision Desk HQ, the Harris-Walz team continues to campaign actively.
