Flexsys has just hit two big goals in its green journey. First, it got a Platinum rating from EcoVadis in 2025. This puts it in the top 1% of over 125, 000 companies checked worldwide. The rating looks at how companies do in areas like the environment, labor rights, ethics, and sustainable buying. The second big win? The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approved Flexsys' plans to cut down on greenhouse gas emissions. The company aims to reduce emissions from its own operations (Scope 1 and 2) by 42% by 2030. It also wants to cut emissions from its supply chain (Scope 3) by 25% in the same time frame. By 2040, Flexsys plans to be completely carbon neutral across all areas. Neil Smith, the Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer, said, \"We're all about helping the tire industry go green. That means cutting emissions and making tires more eco-friendly. These awards show we're on the right track, but we can't stop now. \" Flexsys is also working on using only sustainable materials by 2040. This will help cut down on emissions from its supply chain and make it a leader in green tire additives. The company's green plan includes investing in renewable energy, making operations more efficient, and using local suppliers. It's also creating new, sustainable additives that make tires last longer and have less impact on the environment. You can check out Flexsys' full green plan and progress in its 2024 Sustainability Report. EcoVadis gives sustainability ratings to businesses based on their environmental, social, and governance performance. Platinum is the highest rating, given to the top 1% of companies. The SBTi helps companies set goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. These goals are in line with the global effort to limit temperature rise and fight climate change.
