A Century of Skin Care: Celebrating Brazilian Dermatology

In the sunny month of January 1925, the Annaes Brasileiros de Dermatologia e Syphilografia was born. A hundred years later, it's now known as Anais Brasileiros de Dermatologia (ABD). Back then, a few smart pioneers likely couldn't imagine how strong the Brazilian Society of Dermatology would become. They probably thought ABD would play a big role in treating tropical and subtropical infections. And it did, for decades.Now, Brazilian Dermatology and ABD embrace many aspects of skin health. Both the field of Dermatology and ABD respect their past and won't forget it. Over the last century, they've faced many hurdles. There are still challenges ahead, but as a gift for ABD's 100th birthday, we should learn from the past and think about it. Here's a quick look at ABD's journey. Join us in celebrating!
