A Kennedy's Fight Against Time: Tatiana's Brave Stand

Tatiana Schlossberg, a member of the well-known Kennedy family, has shared some tough news. She's only 35 years old and has been told she has just one year left to live. This comes after she was diagnosed with a serious type of cancer called acute myeloid leukemia. Tatiana found out about her illness after having her baby in May 2024. Doctors noticed something was off with her white blood cells. Normally, people have around 4, 000 to 11, 000 of these cells in a tiny drop of blood. But Tatiana had a huge number—131, 000! That's way more than usual. At first, doctors thought it might be related to her pregnancy. But soon, they realized it was something much worse. Tatiana says she couldn't believe it when they told her she was sick. She felt fine and had even gone for a swim the day before. She had a young son and a newborn daughter to take care of, so this news was a big shock. Tatiana had to spend five weeks in the hospital after her baby was born. Then, she started chemotherapy at home. She tried new treatments, but doctors told her earlier this year that she wouldn't beat the cancer. Despite all this, she's grateful for the support from her husband, George, and her family. They've been there for her every step of the way. This is especially hard for her mom, Caroline Kennedy. She's already lost her father, President John F. Kennedy, and her brother, John F. Kennedy Jr. Now, she's facing the possibility of losing her daughter too.
