Banijay’s chief executive announced that last week marked a turning point after merging with All3Media. He praised the combined company’s growth, saying it shows how big teams and varied content can boost success. The merger is seen as a key step for staying competitive in a market that keeps shrinking.
Financially, the group earned €4. 881 billion this year, up 3. 4 percent, and its profit before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation rose 8. 6 percent to €961 million. The company produced more than 16, 000 hours of programs and launched over 80 new shows for global streaming services. Highlights include “House of Guinness, ” “Culpa Nuestra” and the UK version of “Last One Laughing. ” It also ran live events such as the Winter Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.
The company’s diverse approach helped it thrive even when sports programming was lighter. Live entertainment grew strongly, especially with the international spread of “Luminiscence” and major ceremonies organized by Balich Wonder Studio. Online sports betting and gaming also grew, with revenue up 10 percent and a 23 percent rise in active players, despite higher taxes in France.
A major acquisition last year was Tipico, a leader in sports betting across Germany and Austria. This deal expanded Banijay’s geographic reach and strengthened its position in the gaming sector.
The CEO believes that scale is vital. He says the new structure will attract top talent, monetize intellectual property through both digital and live channels, and increase investment in creative projects and new technologies. He sees the merger as a foundation for long‑term growth.
