A Night of Vintage Fun to Boost School Funds

The Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School is hosting a unique fundraising event that takes guests back to the roaring twenties. The evening, set for March 21 at the parish activity center, will feature a speakeasy theme complete with jazz music, dim lighting, and themed food. The school’s Home and School Board says all money raised goes straight to the campus. The funds help pay for teacher appreciation programs, classroom renovations, and new technology and playground equipment. Every year the auction introduces a fresh concept. This time, the focus is on an old‑time casino feel. The event organizers want attendees to leave feeling like they’ve stepped into a bygone era while supporting a great cause.Auction items are wide‑ranging and exciting. Among them is a signed jersey from Rudy Ruettiger, the Notre Dame player who inspired the movie “Rudy. ”Guests can also bid on a champagne and oyster dinner for twenty people at Mansurs on the Boulevard, a private party for twelve hosted by Superior Grill, and even homes in Colorado and North Carolina. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in their best 1920s attire, adding to the night’s immersive atmosphere. The school hopes that fun and fashion will combine with generosity to create a memorable evening for everyone involved.
