The story of Kristil Krug, a 44‑year‑old chemical engineer from Broomfield, Colorado, is set to be told in a new docuseries by Sony Pictures Television’s Maxine Productions. Krug was found dead in her garage in December 2023 after a welfare check was called by her husband, Daniel. Investigations revealed that Daniel had been pretending to be Krug’s former boyfriend and was the actual killer. He received a life sentence for first‑degree murder, stalking and impersonation.The production company won exclusive rights to the Krug family’s personal files, photos and letters, and will interview close relatives.
