A Year‑Long Record of Safe Care at FMOL Health

Florida, Orlando, USATue Jun 16 2026
FMOL Health’s three flagship hospitals have once again earned the top safety rating from The Leapfrog Group, marking a seventh straight year of achievement for One Hospital. The same accolade was awarded to the two other regional centers, bringing a total of five institutions into the “A” category. Each grade is based on daily practices— from hand‑washing to medication checks, surgical steps and clean‑room maintenance. The hospitals say that safety is a daily habit, not an occasional check‑list item. “Every team member follows the same safety rules, ” a senior leader explained, stressing that consistent teamwork turns policy into practice.
The Leapfrog rating looks at avoidable mistakes such as infections, falls and wrong‑site surgeries. It also reflects the effort of doctors, nurses, aides, managers and support staff who share a common goal: safe care for every patient. “This award shows that our hard work is paying off, ” a quality officer added, noting that safety requires constant attention and trust at all levels. The hospitals plan to keep improving by listening to patients, reviewing incidents, and training staff regularly. FMOL Health continues to build a culture where every action supports patient safety, aiming for even higher standards next year.
