AOC Jabs at Rep. Greene Over Her New 'DOGE' Job

You know how sometimes people get a job they're not really ready for? That's what's happening with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. She's been given a new role in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), but Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thinks she's in over her head. AOC tweeted that Greene doesn't do much work and isn't up for the task. She even joked that it's like giving someone a game controller without plugging it in. Greene's job is to help find waste in the federal budget, but AOC doesn't think she'll do a great job. Greene, on the other hand, is excited to root out waste and corruption in the government.She's been chosen by Rep. James Comer, who leads the oversight committee. It's interesting that Greene's relationship with House Speaker Mike Johnson seems to have improved after their mutual friend, President-elect Trump, won re-election. Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are heading DOGE, but it's not clear how they'll make budget cuts happen, as Congress needs to approve them. Musk wants to slash a third of the federal budget, which could be tough for Trump politically.
