A person in Arizona got a big punishment for setting a Tesla store on fire. The judge gave him five years in prison. This happened because he admitted to doing it.
The man, Ian William Moses, went to the Tesla store in Mesa late at night. He wore a hoodie, a cap, and a mask. He had a gas can and a backpack. He put fire logs near the building and poured gas on them and three Tesla cars. Then he set them on fire.
The fire destroyed a silver Tesla Cybertruck. The man left the place on a bike. This was not the only time someone did something bad to Tesla. Last year, there were other attacks on Tesla stores. People were mad at Elon Musk, the boss of Tesla.
The person in charge of the U. S. Attorney's Office said that setting fires is not okay. He said that the man's actions were dangerous and could have hurt people. The five-year sentence shows that this kind of crime is taken seriously.
