Art Contest Open for South Carolina Creatives

The Koger Center in Columbia invites artists from across the state to join its yearly “Koger Center Project” competition. Submissions are accepted now and will close on August 2, 2026. There is no entry fee, but each participant may submit up to ten pieces. After two rounds of juried evaluation, a group of selected works will be displayed in the Center’s Gallery.The top prize is a $600 award, and the chosen artists will also have their pieces showcased during the “Winners’ Exhibition. ” The exhibition runs through the final week of the competition, featuring winners from the previous year such as Kate Timbes (1st Place), Lori Isom (2nd Place), Anna Byars, Colleen Cannon‑Karlos, Max Hardy, and Wilma King. Visitors can view the Gallery for free from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and an hour before any performance.
