Ben Askren's Journey: From Critical Condition to Recovery

Ben Askren faced a tough time in late May 2025. He was very sick with pneumonia and needed a lung transplant. This was a big deal because he was on life support for a while. But he made it through and is now on the road to recovery. Askren shared a video on Instagram. It showed his friend Cody Crocker singing a song written by Askren's nine-year-old daughter. Askren asked his fans to help name the song. His wife, Amy, was also happy about the video and shared it on her Instagram Story.Amy also shared that a group of people had been praying for Ben every night for a month. This was a big support for the family. The world was happy to see Askren talking and giving updates on his health. Askren talked about his experience. He said he didn't remember anything from May 28th to July 2nd. He also lost a lot of weight during his time in the hospital. But he is now focused on getting better.
