Ben Stiller and Benson Boone are teaming up for a quirky Super Bowl commercial. They are playing as brothers with strong accents and dressed like a singing duo from the 1970s. The ad is directed by Spike Jonze. This is Instacart's second year in a row advertising during the Super Bowl. Last year, Instacart had a different approach. They featured nine well-known mascots in their ad. This year, they are going for a more classic Super Bowl style with famous actors and a touch of humor.
Two short clips, called "Harmonizing" and "Goals, " were released on January 22nd. In these clips, Stiller criticizes Boone's singing and scolds him for talking about the wrong kind of football. They are wearing shiny, matching outfits that look like the green Instacart bags. Instacart is not the only delivery service advertising during the Super Bowl. Uber Eats and Grubhub are also running ads. DoorDash, the biggest delivery service in the U. S. , is taking a break this year after three years of Super Bowl ads and a big tech buy last year. Both clips will air on TV before the Super Bowl. "Goals" will be shown during the NFC Championship Game on Fox on January 25th. "Harmonizing" will air during the Super Bowl pregame show on NBC.
