Boulder Residents Hear the Next Chapter of Their Creative Campus

The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA) opened a free discussion in the North Boulder Library this Thursday, inviting locals to learn about plans for a new creative hub. The event ran from 5:30 to 7 p. m. , fitting into BMoCA’s Neighborhood Roadshow series that keeps the community updated on a future museum and campus in the NoBo Art District. During the meeting, attendees heard about BMoCA’s history, a progress report on design milestones—about 60 percent complete—and a Q&A with museum staff.A community values exercise let residents share what they hope to see in the new campus, which will combine a custom museum building with housing, retail, studio spaces and public gathering spots. The project has already raised $12. 43 million, roughly half of its capital goal, and the meeting was free but required online registration through BMoCA’s event page.
