Casa Bonita Workers Unite: A Big Step for Entertainment Staff

You know Casa Bonita, the famous pink palace where you can enjoy a meal and a show? Well, something big happened there recently. The entertainment staff, like cliff divers and magicians, decided to form a union. This means they'll work together to improve their workplace. They want a safer and fairer environment. The workers reached out to two unions, Actors Equity Association and International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 7, for help. In October, they started this process. Then, in November, they voted unanimously to form a union. The vote was a landslide, showing they're all on the same page. The management at Casa Bonita said they respect the workers' decision and want to keep a positive relationship.These unions represent a lot of people in the entertainment industry. Equity, for example, has 51, 000 members, including actors on Broadway and at Disney parks. IATSE Local 7 represents people in Colorado, and IATSE overall has about 170, 000 members across the U. S. and Canada. The workers hope this union will help them focus on their jobs better. They're looking forward to sitting down with the management to talk about how to make Casa Bonita even better.
