China's space exploration plans for the next decade include some exciting destinations. They've already collected samples from the far side of the moon, and now they're looking at Mars, asteroids, and even Jupiter. The samples from the moon's far side are different from those from the near side, which gives scientists new information about the moon's history.
China has a mission planned to collect samples from a nearby asteroid, Kamo'oalewa, in 2024. They want to visit it first and then study a comet in the main asteroid belt. They also plan to go back to the moon in 2026 and 2028 to look for water ice and test ways to use lunar resources.
China wants to build a research station on the moon with help from other countries. They've already got more than 10 countries interested. They're also planning a mission to Mars to look for signs of life. The goal is to collect samples and bring them back to Earth by 2031.
Another big plan is to send a spacecraft to Jupiter around 2030. This mission will study Jupiter and its moons. China is also working on a way to deflect asteroids, similar to NASA's DART mission.
All these missions are robotic, but China has a bigger plan: to land astronauts on the moon before 2030.
