Closed Test Lets Players Explore New Honkai Game

HoYoverse is inviting a small group of players to try out its newest strategy title, Honkai: Nexus Anima, on July 9. The test will run on PC, Android and iOS but only for a limited time and without any cost. Participants will have to fill out a short survey on the company’s website; those who complete it will be entered into a lottery to win a spot in the beta. The game builds on the popular Honkai series by adding a fresh focus on “bonds” and creatures called Nexus Anima. In the world of the game, bonds used to link opposing forces such as love and hate or light and darkness. After a major event known as the Honkai, these bonds fractured and reformed into elemental beings that players can collect and grow.Players take on the role of a traveler who has just been freed from long confinement. Their journey starts in the village of Iya, a place that will be shown in more detail during the test. The area includes lively streets, shops and important buildings where players can meet key characters from different factions. During the beta, players will experience core gameplay, new story scenes and new characters. They can also interact with the Nexus Anima, giving them names, taking photos of special moments and even encountering rare variants called Chroma Anima.
