In a surprising turn of events, wide receiver Davante Adams is packing his bags for New York. Today, the Las Vegas Raiders have agreed to trade Adams to the Jets, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media. The deal includes a conditional third-round pick from the Jets, which could improve to a second-rounder based on Adams' performance.
Adams, 31, spent eight successful seasons with the Packers alongside quarterback Aaron Rodgers. In 2020, he led the league with 18 touchdowns, helping the team go 13-3 and securing Rodgers the MVP title. With a brilliant career spanning 890 catches for 10,990 yards and 96 touchdowns, Adams is a three-time, first-team All-Pro. This season, however, has been tough for Adams. A hamstring injury has limited him to just three games, where he caught 18 passes for 209 yards and a single touchdown. The trade ends his troubled tenure in Las Vegas, sending Adams back east to reunite with Rodgers.
