Defensive Coach Shifts from Virginia to Memphis

A defensive analyst is moving from Virginia to Memphis. ShaDon Brown is leaving his role at Virginia to become the cornerbacks coach for the Tigers. This move comes after Memphis recently hired Charles Huff as their new head coach. Brown has a strong track record. In 2023, the West Virginia defense improved under his guidance. They allowed fewer points per game and held most opponents to under 300 passing yards. Cornerback Beanie Bishop Jr. had a standout season, leading the nation in passes defended and breakups.
