Denver School's All-Gender Bathroom Sparks Federal Investigation

However, the U. S. Department of Education (USDE) has now launched an investigation. They claim that converting a female bathroom into an all-gender one violates Title IX, a law ensuring equal facilities for both sexes. The USDE says they'll look into whether DPS discriminates against students based on sex by installing these bathrooms.The investigation was triggered by local news reports. DPS, however, maintains that the conversion was a practical decision made in response to student needs. They plan to add more all-gender bathrooms if funding allows. The investigation comes after President Trump's order recognizing only two sexes. This has raised concerns about the future of such bathroom conversions.
