Diablo Immortal Gets a New Hero and City
Wed Jun 17 2026
Blizzard dropped a big patch for Diablo Immortal on the 17th, calling it Blood‑Soaked Gem. The update adds a fresh character class, a new area called Lut Gholein, and three tough bosses for the Helliquary.
The headline change is a new hero: the Tempest, a ranged fighter who can summon and command demons. From level one, players can tap into the Soulbound companion, and during fights they can devour demons to gain extra power. This makes the Tempest a strong hybrid that can shape the battlefield with summoned allies.
The story side sees a fresh main questline, Bloodied Gem, that picks up where the Realm of Anguish left off. For the first time in the game, players get to walk through Lut Gholein, a city that nods to Diablo II: Resurrected. The gates, plaza, and architecture feel familiar, but the streets are now twisted by Andariel’s demonic influence.
Three new Helliquary bosses appear: Iradus, the False Prophet, who wields solar power; The Gluttonous, a demon with an endless hunger that drains souls; and Gulakht, the Night‑Blood Deceiver, who throws lightning at challengers. These fights promise new strategies and rewards.
More details about the patch, the Tempest class, and the new bosses can be found on Blizzard’s official blog and in a developer video. Players who want to test the new content should check those sources for deeper insights and tips.
