Downtown Dallas will see a pause in train services for a bit. This is not because of an emergency, but for some important safety checks. Starting Wednesday night at 9:30 p. m. , all light rail services in the Central Business District will be on hold. The goal is to make sure everything is safe and running smoothly. Service should be back to normal by 4 a. m. Thursday. If you're planning to travel through downtown Dallas on Wednesday evening, it's a good idea to plan ahead. Some trips might take a bit longer than usual. You might even need to hop on a shuttle bus to get to your destination. It's all part of the process to keep things safe and efficient. Different train lines will run on different routes during this time. For example, the Red Line will run between Parker Road and SMU/Mockingbird, and between EBJ Union and Westmoreland. The Blue Line will run between Downtown Rowlett and SMU/Mockingbird, and between EBJ Union and UNT Dallas. The Green Line will run between Baylor and Buckner, and between Victory and North Carrollton/Frankford. The Orange Line will run between Victory and DFW Airport. The Silver Line will not be affected. Shuttle buses will be available every 20 minutes for those who need to transfer. Green Line passengers can transfer at Victory or Baylor Station. Red, Blue, and Orange Line passengers can transfer at EBJ Union or SMU/Mockingbird Station. There will be staff, volunteers, and police officers at the stations to help guide passengers. This temporary suspension is a reminder of the ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the transit system. It's a small inconvenience for a bigger goal: safer and more reliable train services for everyone.
