The United Nations has warned that the use of drones in Sudan is causing huge human losses. In just two days, more than 50 people were killed by air strikes that targeted markets and shelters. At least 15 of the victims were children, showing how innocent life is being lost in this war. The first strike hit a market in Al Safiya, killing 28 civilians. The next day a shelter in West Kordofan was hit by another drone, taking 26 lives.
Separately, a paramilitary group fired drones at two schools in Dilling, South Kordofan. These attacks happen on the front line of Sudan’s nearly three‑year conflict between the army and a militia. Both sides have already displaced millions, creating a serious humanitarian crisis. The UN chief calls for an immediate halt to all attacks on civilians and civilian places. He urges the parties involved to protect people, especially children, from further harm.
