The night sky over Ukraine, filled with drones and missiles sent by Russia. That's what happened recently, with nearly 100 drones and one guided missile making their way into Ukrainian territory. But Ukraine's Air Force was ready, shooting down 66 of those drones and the missile. Some drones were likely jammed, while one ended up in Belarusian airspace. No one was hurt, but it was a busy night.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia had been quite active, launching around 900 guided aerial bombs, 500 drones, and 30 missiles against Ukraine in just one week. He asked Ukraine's allies for help, specifically long-range weapons to hit targets on Russian soil. Zelensky also wanted tougher sanctions to stop Russia from getting parts for their drones and missiles.
Russia's Defense Ministry said they shot down 19 Ukrainian drones in three regions. Unfortunately, one person died in the Belgorod region due to a Ukrainian drone attack. This back-and-forth shows no signs of stopping.
