Eric Trump Faces Fact‑Check Over Crypto Claims
New York, USASat May 16 2026
The host of MS NOW, Jen Psaki, spent part of her Friday show answering Eric Trump’s accusations.
Trump had posted on X that Psaki was lying about his ties to a crypto company called ALT5 Sigma.
He said she claimed he sat on the firm’s board, which he denied.
Psaki countered with evidence from a Nasdaq event last August.
In the footage, speakers welcomed “Eric Trump” as an ALT5 board member and also mentioned him as a co‑founder of World Liberty, the Trump family’s crypto venture.
She explained that in later SEC documents Eric was listed only as an observer, a role that lets you attend board meetings but not vote.
The debate also touched on the company’s link to a Chinese chipmaker.
US lawmakers warned that the maker is connected to China’s Communist Party, raising concerns about a possible conflict of interest during President Trump’s trip to China.
Psaki questioned whether Eric’s presence on the official visit was appropriate given these ties.
Trump replied that he has no business interests in China and that his trip was simply to support his father.
He urged viewers to decide for themselves.
The White House has not responded to requests for comment on the exchange.
