Europe’s Drone Aid and Russia’s Growing Concerns

Russia says that European countries are making more drones for Ukraine. The defence ministry claims this pushes the conflict closer to Europe. It released a list of factories that it says build drones or parts for Ukraine, including sites in Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy, Israel and Poland. The ministry wants the public to know where these factories are. It argues that people should understand what threatens their safety and who is helping Ukraine.A former Russian president, now a security council deputy, posted on X that the list could become targets. He warned that future strikes might happen and told Europeans to “sleep well, European partners! ”. The message was a threat, not an order. Russian officials have often spoken in vague terms about possible actions against European supporters of Ukraine. They usually warn rather than promise immediate attacks.
