A new exhibit called "Sports360" is about to open at the Kamin Science Center in Pittsburgh. This exhibit is all about the science behind sports. It will be the biggest exhibit at the center, taking up 9, 500 square feet.
The exhibit has four main areas: prepare, practice, participate, and go pro. Visitors can try out different sports like football, baseball, hockey, soccer, basketball, and Olympic sports. There are nearly 25 interactive stations where people can test their skills and learn about the science of movement and competition.
The exhibit is part of the Science Center's mission to connect people with science. It's the first major exhibit since the center was renamed and received a big donation. The exhibit aims to spark curiosity and show how science plays a role in sports.
On Saturday, the exhibit will open with a family-friendly event. There will be team mascots like the Pirate Parrot and Iceburgh from the Penguins. DJ B-Renn will play music, and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds' trophy will be on display. There will also be a free photo booth with a "Sports360" theme.
The exhibit is a fun way for people to learn about the science behind sports. It's a great opportunity for families and sports fans to explore how athletes train and compete.
