Future‑Ready Auto Hub Opens in Wuhu
Wuhu, Anhui, ChinaSat May 02 2026
In early April, a big gathering of car dealers and tech fans took place in Wuhu, China. The event was part of a global business summit that focused on new ideas for the automotive world. The highlight was an open‑air pavilion built by two car brands, OMODA and JAECOO. The space covered more than 2, 000 square metres and was shaped like a tree, with the main trunk showing key cars and branches branching out into themed areas such as outdoor life, pet travel, and car accessories.
Instead of showing cars on flat tables, the pavilion let visitors walk through real‑life scenes. One area mimicked a retro garage where you could customise a vehicle, while another recreated an outdoor adventure setting. These setups helped dealers see how the cars could fit into everyday life and sparked ideas for new business models. The pavilion attracted over 4, 000 people, from dealers to investors and journalists.
Four distinct zones made up the pavilion. The first showcased a future‑style model on a runway, the second offered a nostalgic cyber‑interactive space, the third highlighted off‑road adventures, and the fourth focused on pet‑friendly travel. Inside each zone, models like the OMODA 4, OMODA 5 EV, and JAECOO 8 SHS‑P were displayed in scenarios ranging from city commutes to rugged trails. This arrangement let visitors feel how versatile the cars were.
The hall also featured a tech‑heavy atmosphere. A gaming area with esports, a music stage that played electronic beats, and a robotics demo—where a smart robot co‑created with an AI team interacted with guests—added excitement. Even the drinks menu was themed, offering a “Star Blue” cocktail that celebrated global exploration and youth culture.
The overall message was clear: the future of cars is not just about moving from point A to B, but about creating a lifestyle ecosystem. OMODA and JAECOO are positioning themselves as leaders in this shift, building a network where customers, partners and even robots contribute to the experience. The pavilion’s launch marks a milestone for the brands as they celebrate their third year of global expansion and set sights on selling one million units worldwide.
