The U. S. has big plans for Gaza. They want to set up new leaders and bring in soldiers from other countries. This is all to keep the peace after a shaky truce.
The U. S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, talked about this at a recent press event. He said the current situation in Gaza is not working. Israel keeps hitting Hamas targets, and Hamas is still in control. So, the U. S. wants to change things fast.
First, they plan to create a new governing body. This will include an international board and a group of Palestinian experts. After that, soldiers from other countries will come in to help keep the peace. But no one knows exactly when this will happen.
There are still many questions. Who will make Hamas give up their weapons? Which countries will send soldiers, and what will their job be? The U. S. is still figuring this out.
Rubio said that countries like Pakistan are interested in helping. But he didn't give any details about who will be in charge of disarming Hamas. He also said that the U. S. needs to answer more questions before asking countries to commit to sending soldiers.
The goal is to make Gaza stable and secure. This is important for getting other countries to help pay for rebuilding Gaza. No one wants to spend money if there's a chance it will all be destroyed again.
