Germany has just opened a new drone defense center in Berlin. This is the first time the country has brought together different security teams to work on one big problem: drones being used for spying and causing trouble.
Before this center, different groups were handling drone threats separately. Now, the federal police, state police, and the military are all working together. They share information and work as a team to respond quickly to any threats. The center is called GDAZ. It's all about sharing knowledge, not about one group being in charge of the others.
Drones have been a big issue in Europe lately. Many people think Russia is behind some of these incidents, using drones to cause problems. But Russia says they are not involved.
The interior minister, Alexander Dobrindt, visited the center. He thinks this new setup will help Germany deal with future threats better. But will it work? Only time will tell.
Drones are becoming more common and more advanced. Having a coordinated defense strategy is important. Germany's new center is a good start, but it's not a guarantee of success.
