Google has given its Tasks tool a big upgrade. Now, it's not just hiding in the corner of Google Calendar or tucked away in the Workspace sidebar. It's got its own website, Tasks. google. com. This means you can now access your to-do lists without any detours. The new site looks just like the old Tasks interface, but with a fresh logo. Your lists are shown as cards that you can move around. There's also a handy navigation drawer to switch between All Tasks and Starred. You can even hide lists you don't need and create new ones that will show up on your mobile apps.
This new site is smart. It automatically follows your device's dark theme. But, it doesn't let you manually switch themes like you can on Google Calendar. This might be a bummer for some people who like to customize their experience.
The new Tasks website has been around for a few weeks. It's not clear if Google will keep both the standalone site and the integrated Calendar experience. But, it's a safe bet that Google will keep both options available, just like they do on Android.
Tasks. google. com is a big step forward for people who use Google's productivity tools. It's a simple, straightforward way to manage your to-do lists. But, it's important to think critically about how you use these tools. Are they making your life easier? Or are they just adding more clutter to your digital life?
