Hollywood’s New Take on July 4 Celebrations

The big parade plan for the National Mall fell apart, but Hollywood isn’t staying quiet. New shows and events are popping up across the country.
National Geographic has started a series to dig into America’s stories, while ABC is airing “Disney Celebrates America: The Pursuit of Happiness” on June 29.
In July, Disneyland’s California Adventure Park will open a new ride called Soarin’ Across America on the 2nd.
From July 3 to the 4th, a joint effort by ABC, Disney+, Hulu, National Geographic, FX, Freeform, and ESPN will stream a 24‑hour program. The show will travel through all 50 states, highlighting history, music, and inventions with segments like “Nashville’s Star‑Spangled Bash” and “America The Beautiful. ”
On July 4, ESPN. com will launch a five‑day series called “America 250 Road Trips. ”
NBC News, Telemundo, and NBCU Local will cover Sail4th 250 in both English and Spanish. They’ll show tall ships, navy vessels, and planes from 46 countries between 7 a. m. and 1 p. m. ET.
SportsCenter will host a special segment from 2 p. m. to 4 p. m. PT that honors the people and moments that have shaped American sports.
