They created a special measurement called "relative environmental age" to see how past conditions influenced the birds. They found that younger birds started breeding earlier and were more successful at first.But after three years, things started to change—they began breeding later and had less success, showing signs of aging. Interestingly, the environment played a role in how quickly the birds started to breed, but it didn't seem to affect their success as much. This study suggests that understanding aging in animals requires looking at their entire life experiences, not just their age in years.
