India and EU Join Hands for a Big Trade Deal

India and the EU have just finished talking about a huge trade deal. This deal is a big step for both sides. It will make it easier to buy and sell things between India and the EU. Together, they make up a big part of the world's economy. This deal is expected to boost trade and investment. The deal is not ready to sign yet. It needs to go through some legal checks. This process might take about five to six months. After that, it could take another year to start working. This is a long time, but both sides seem excited. They had stopped for nine years. The talks got serious after the U. S. put tariffs on many countries, including India. The U. S. and India could not agree on a trade deal last year. In the end, India might lower car taxes from 110% to 40%. But some farm products are not included in the deal. India wants to protect its farmers.
