The new project runs on the Zooniverse platform and lets volunteers examine pictures from trail cameras spread over more than 6 million acres. These cameras record wildlife with minimal interference, but the images pile up fast. By labeling animals in each photo, volunteers give scientists useful data to monitor populations and ecosystem health.
