Comedian Tim Dillon, who played a small role in Joker: Folie à Deuce, didn't hold back his thoughts on the film. He called it the "worst film ever made" during an interview on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. The movie, directed by Todd Phillips, stars Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga. It was released on October 4 and criticized by many for its lack of plot and strange direction. Dillon and other cast members had their doubts while filming.
They even predicted it would flop at the box office. Taxi Driver writer Paul Schrader walked out of the film early, finding it unbearable. However, not everyone agrees. Pulp Fiction director Quentin Tarantino enjoyed the film, praising Phoenix's performance and Phillips' daring approach. He believes the Joker character directed the movie. Video game creator Hideo Kojima suggests the film might take years to be fully appreciated.
