The actor known for the “Transformers” movies recently spoke on a radio program with Megyn Kelly. He said he kept his political thoughts to himself because of the audience he reaches. He explained that having a large platform does not mean one must share every opinion. “I have strong views, but I don’t want to push them because it could turn off half of my fans, ” he said. Duhamel added that if someone really wants to succeed in entertainment, they should avoid alienating viewers with political stances. “I’m here to make movies and TV, not to become a politician, ” he clarified.He joked that if he wanted to talk politics more seriously, he would run for office—something he has no plans to do.
