Justice Files: A New Look at the Epstein Investigation
Washington, USASat May 30 2026
The former U. S. Attorney General, Pam Bondi, spoke before a small group of lawmakers on Friday.
The committee was led by Republican House Chairman James Comer, who said the group would ask why some documents had not yet been shared.
Bondi’s team released over three million pages about the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein, but some papers were kept hidden.
Bondi’s decision to hold back material drew criticism from both sides of the aisle.
Some argued that keeping information secret protected victims and ongoing probes, while others claimed it shielded former President Donald Trump.
Trump had fired Bondi in April over the handling of these files and opposed their release until Congress passed a law forcing them out.
The documents also name high‑profile figures such as Trump, Bill Clinton, and the former Duke of York.
All said they knew nothing about Epstein’s alleged crimes.
Democratic Representative Robert Garcia objected to the lack of video recording, saying it would let the public see Bondi’s reactions.
A survivor of Epstein’s abuse spoke out during the hearing.
She called the release of nude photos and pornographic material by the Justice Department “unacceptable. ”
The survivor’s comments added pressure on lawmakers to review how the files were managed.
