Kansas City in Search of a Dangerous Shooter

Kansas City, USASun Jun 21 2026
Police and federal agents are chasing a 22‑year‑old suspect who allegedly fired at cars and people across Kansas and Missouri. The chase began after a series of violent acts that happened just days before the FIFA World Cup games at Arrowhead Stadium. The authorities say the suspect is still on the run and could be very dangerous. The FBI’s Kansas City office has offered up to $25, 000 for anyone who helps catch the man. The reward is meant to encourage witnesses or anyone with useful information to come forward. The suspect is described as a white and Hispanic male who weighs about 184 pounds. He stands 5 feet 8 inches tall, has brown hair and eyes, and a tattoo on his right forearm. Police warn that he is armed and should not be approached.
The man is wanted for shooting a vehicle in Wyandotte County on June 11. He also faces an aggravated assault charge that could put a $100, 000 bond on him. Additionally, police believe he is linked to five shootings that occurred Tuesday night along Interstate 70 near the stadium. One person died, another was seriously hurt, and several others, including an Uber driver who was shooting a fan’s leg, are recovering. After the shootings, a standoff took place at a house in Independence, Missouri. The confrontation ended when the house caught fire. Firefighters put out the blaze and deemed the building safe by Wednesday morning. Investigators searched the property but did not find the suspect, although they recovered a car believed to be used in the attacks. The FBI and local police urge anyone who sees the suspect or has information to call 911 immediately. They are asking for public vigilance as the hunt continues.
