One surprising winner is an American park that doesn’t charge for entry, making it a great local option. Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pennsylvania, topped the list of U. S. amusement parks for 2026. The park sits in the Susquehanna River Valley and has been run by the Knobel family since 1926. It is the largest free‑admission park in the country, featuring more than a hundred rides and water attractions. Knoebels operates on a pay‑as‑you‑go basis. Rides cost between $2. 50 and $6. 00 each, but visitors can buy unlimited day passes for about $45 to $60.
