Lebanon's Big Step: Disarming Hezbollah Near the Border

Lebanon is making progress in taking weapons away from Hezbollah near the Litani River. This is a big deal because it's part of a deal with Israel to stop fighting. The prime minister, Nawaf Salam, said they're almost done with the first part of this plan. The Lebanese army is in charge of this job. They have a plan to make sure the government is the only one with weapons. After they finish near the Litani River, they'll move on to the north.But it's not easy. Hezbollah doesn't want to give up their weapons. They say it's not safe while Israel keeps attacking. Israel, on the other hand, wants Lebanon to do more to stop Hezbollah.
