Legendary TVStar Jill Jacobson Passes Away at 70

Jill Jacobson, a familiar face on both the big and small screens, has sadly left us at the age of 70. She was respected for her long-standing career that spread across television shows and films. Known for her roles in "Star Trek" and the vintage drama "Falcon Crest, " Jacobson was a true performer. She faced a prolonged illness before her passing in Los Angeles on December 8. Her management representative, Daniel Harary, confirmed this to the media. Originating from Texas, Jacobson had a career stretching over four decades. One of her most notable performances was on CBS's "Falcon Crest, " where she starred as Erin Jones in over 22 episodes between 1985 and 1987. She worked alongside actors such as Jane Wyman and Robert Foxworth. During this time, she also appeared in "The New Gidget" as Larue Wilson across eight episodes. Jacobson was no stranger to science fiction. She played small parts in "Quantum Leap" and the "Star Trek" series, "The Next Generation" and "Deep Space Nine. " Her TV credits are extensive, including series like "The Fix, " "Castle, " "Party Down, " "Days of Our Lives, " "Who’s the Boss? ", and "Newhart. "Beyond TV, Jacobson also starred in movies like "Not Just Another Affair, " "Forbidden Love, " "Splash, " and more. She was known for her role in the 1977 horror film "Nurse Sherri, " which marked her debut after moving from Texas to Los Angeles to chase her acting dream.
