LG has just revealed its first Micro RGB TV, named the LG Micro RGB Evo. This new tech is a big deal because it uses tiny RGB LEDs instead of the usual white backlight in Mini-LED TVs. It's not replacing LG's famous OLED TVs, but it's a big step forward in color accuracy and brightness. The LG Micro RGB Evo comes with some cool features. It has LG's upgraded AI processor, the a11 AI Processor Gen 3, which makes pictures look sharper. It also has Micro Dimming Ultra, which LG says gives OLED-like precision in controlling the LEDs. You can get the RGB Evo in three sizes: 100, 86, and 75 inches. LG hasn't said how much it will cost or when it will be available, but you can check it out in person at CES in January.
This isn't the only Micro RGB TV out there. Samsung and Hisense are also bringing their versions to CES. TCL has one for the Chinese market too. Each company has a different name for the tech, which might make it confusing at first. The big selling point of these TVs is their color. They can cover 100% of the BT. 2020, DCI-P3, and Adobe RGB color spaces. LG says their color accuracy has been checked by a company called Intertek. But how will LG's Micro RGB TV compare to the others? We'll have to wait and see. CES will give us a better idea of what's what.
